We all know that this is a very important moment for a country, Covid-19 has hit us and it seems that the situation is getting worse. As we know, many states have already declared lockdowns and earlier many companies had announced work from home facilities for there employees. Keeping this in mind, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited aka BSNL has brought a plan to provide free broadband services to new users.
As per the service, new customers who are opting for copper cable-based internet service will get free internet, BSNL also states that they do not need to pay for the installation charge as well. But you have to pay for the modem or buy the same.
Director of BSNL Vivek Banazal said: “Broadband service is being provided free of cost for one month to all citizens across the country who have BSNL landline and do not have any broadband, so that they can use this service either to work from home, Education from home or anything you can do at least need to be moved outside”.
What is a Scheme
Under the scene, the user who will opt for the broadband service will get 5GB data per day at a speed of 10Mbps. The scheme is only available for the users that are using the BSNL landline service. The FUP is set to be unlimited but the speed will cut down @ 1Mbps. The plan is only applicable for one month means after that you will need to pay for the service.
