Realme has launched the fourth smartphone of its Pro series. Realme 6 Pro which is a part of a pro series and replacement for the existing X series. Lots of expectations are from this smartphone, as Pro series of the Realme is disrupting both price and specifications. The smartphone has launched along with the Realme 6 and Realme Band on the event which canceled for ground gathering due to coronavirus. So, let’s check out the new Realme 6 Pro and check does it overpriced.
The trend for punch-hole display has been very sharp in 2020 and how can Realme not give you the trendy display in its smartphone. Realme 6 Pro has a 6.6 inches IPS LCD which has dual punch-hole camera placement. It is a 90 Hertz refresh rate screen of Full HD+ resolution. The screen is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and gives you the 480 nits brightness. The display is bigger and gives you the perfect viewing experience. Colors look punchy, despite HDR support, still, you can see a contrast with AMOLED display.
Realme 6 Pro comes with a new lighting design that looks striking. We get to see a glass back with a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The smartphone weighs around 202 gram which quite heavier, also the smartphone is a little bit bigger, means if you have a small hand then you need to use two hands to hold the smartphone.
Realme 6 Pro comes with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset and also the first smartphone in the world powered the SD 720G. It is an octa-core chipset having clock speed up to 2.3 GHz and builds on 8nm fabrication. If you don’t go with the numbers, the chipset is equivalent to the Snapdragon 730G. The gaming performance of the smartphone is very good, in terms of daily life performance you will get a seamless experience. Also, the new 720G comes with the support of ISRO Navic.
We get to see a Realme UI based on Android 10. We do not get to see so many bloatware in the device. Also, Realme UI looks more optimized in the Realme 6 Pro. The stock camera app for the smartphone also gives you a smooth experience. The smartphone comes with the support of GCam and RAW images.
Realme 6 Pro comes with the quad-camera setup. We have a 64 Megapixel Samsung GW1 primary sensor of aperture f/1.8. The secondary one is a 12 Megapixel telephoto lens of aperture f/2.5 that provides 2x optical zoom. The third one is an 8 Megapixel wide-angle lens of aperture f/2.3 that provides a 119-degree field of view. The last one is a 2 Megapixel macro lens of aperture f/2.4 that provides 4cm macro shots. The rear camera supports video recording up to 4k at 30 fps and slow-motion video up to 1080p at 120 fps. The smartphone comes with night mode 2.0 and UIS which stabilized video more.
We get to see a dual selfie camera. We have 16 Megapixel Sony IMX 471 sensors of aperture f/2.0. The secondary is an 8 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens which provides a 105-degree field of view.

Wrapping up the article, this time Realme missed pricing. When you are launching a smartphone to compete with a device like Poco X2, you have to be more cautious. If this smartphone launches around 15,000 it could have been a killer deal. Realme has tried to bring some flagship features such as telephoto lenses and the latest Snapdragon 720G, which probably cost more. But the device was not able to impress its fans this time. After all, Realme 6 Pro is overpriced.
