2020 has been started and we are graced with the first launch of the Chinese manufacturer. Vivo has launched its first smartphone of the calendar and it is a pro version of last year launched Vivo S1. Vivo S1 Pro comes with a quad-camera setup and a 32 Megapixel selfie camera. 2019 is a great year for Vivo, and they introduce amazing smartphones with aggressive pricing. Display & Design
Vivo S1 Pro sports a 6.4 inches Super AMOLED display for resolution Full HD+ with a 90% screen to body ratio. The display is protected by Schott Xenzation 3D. The protection is very remote thus cant say a lot about it but still, it will protect your smartphone. The display is very bright and the color contrast is vibrant, also viewing angles of the smartphone are up to the mark.
In terms of display, Vivo has done a lot of progress. A new diamond cut quad-camera setup looks amazing. The new diamondback design gives very appreciable asymmetry. It looks fresh and appealing. Overall in terms of design, it gives you a new look and gives you a break from the common vertical design that we see late 2019 mid-range smartphones.
The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset. It is an octa-core chipset manufactured on 11nm technology. Chipset is coupled with an Adreno 610 GPU. It is running on FunTouch OS 9.2 based on Android 9. Yes, still we do not have Android 10 in 2020. The base variant starts with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB USB 2.0 internal storage. The smartphone can run PUBG in medium settings at a High frame rate along with that it gives you lag-free experience.
Vivo S1 Pro has a quad-camera setup with a 48 Megapixels primary sensor. The primary sensor is of f/1.8 aperture and cooperates in a night mode. The secondary one is an 8 Megapixel wide-angle lens of aperture f/2.2. The third one is a 2 Megapixel dedicated macro lens of aperture f/2.4. The last one is a 2 Megapixel depth sensor of aperture f/2.4. In terms of video recording, you can shoot video at 4k resolution @ 60fps supported EIS. It also comes with so many AI modes and gobs of camera features present in the Vivo Camera app.
It has a 32 Megapixel selfie camera of aperture f/2.0 and a 0.8-micron pixel size. The camera performance is really good. Photos look punchy and saturated.

Vivo S1 Pro comes with a 4500 mAh battery that supports dual engine 18 W charging. Smartphone has all the major sensors including an in-display fingerprint sensor which is adaptable and fast. It has Bluetooth 5.0 and supports WiFi 5G band.

So, because this is the first smartphone of 2020 and the first of Vivo too, we have high hopes from it. Vivo S1 was a great launch of 2019, it’s main aid is its price. But this time things are not the same. Actually, the S1 Pro is not an absolute up-gradation. Although it is a great smartphone, but according to the chipset point of view, at this price, we expect SD 712 or SD 735. In addition, Realme X2 and Redmi Note 8 Pro offer more powerful specs at the same price.
