The smartphone’s camera has been greatly upgraded in the last few years. We have seen a periscope lens that can shoot pictures up to 60X zoom. Recently Xiaomi has revealed its 108 megapixel Penta camera smartphone which is “Mi CC9 Pro”. No doubt this five lenses camera smartphone is going to be the great tech. It is going to be a great treat for the camera-centric audience.
A Penta Lens Setup
The primary camera is the key highlight as it has a 108-megapixel sensor. This is the first smartphone to come with a 108 MP setup. It has a Samsung ISOCELL Bright HMX image sensor. This is a larger sensor of 1/1.33-inch than other sensors available in consumer smartphones. It has an aperture of f/1.7.
It has a 20 Megapixel wide-angle lens that can shoot a photo at a 117-degree field of view. There is a 12 Megapixel sensor that shoots 2X optical zoom of 50mm focal length with large 1.4-micron pixel size.
Xiaomi has also given another telephoto lens of 5 Megapixel that can be upscaled up to 8 Megapixel of 1-micron pixel size. We can shoot pictures at 5X optical zoom and also support 50X digital zoom. It is not a periscope lens like the P30 Pro so photos with 50X zoom will not be as good. The 5MP telephoto lens supports Optical Image Stabilization.
The last one is 2 Megapixel microlens of aperture f/2.4 of pixel size 1.75 micro. The Mi CC9 Pro can shoot video only at 30 Fps at 4k resolution. We can also shoot slow o=motion video at 960 fps but is limited to 720p resolution.
The smartphone features a 32 Megapixel selfie camera of aperture f/2.0 with a pixel size of 0.8 microns. Video recording on the front camera is limited to 30 fps at 1080p resolution.
Mi CC9 Pro spot 6.4 inches Super AMOLED display. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset coupled with an Adreno 618. It comes with a 5230 mAh massive battery capacity with a 30W fast charging support.
It is a great smartphone and we are eagerly awaiting its launch and at what price Xiaomi offers it in the Indian market. In my opinion, it would be the killer camera beast.
