Recently both the brands come up with there new devices in the market that is Redmi Note 8 Pro and Realme XT. Redmi Note 8 Pro has 6.5 inches IPS LCD display spot with a dewdrop notch. The display has a 500 nits brightness and Full HD resolution. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla 5 on both front and back.

Realme XT comes with a 6.4 inches Super AMOLED display of Full HD resolution. The display is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both front and back. It has a glass back which makes its design looks more beautiful.


In terms of display, Realme XT has an advantage because of the AMOLED display. It is sharper and gives more accurate colors. Both are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and back. Redmi has given us P2i coating and a special feature that throws out the dust and water entering the speaker’s grill. In terms of design, both smartphones look great as both have a glass back and dewdrop notch. So, it is your personal preference which one you like. But in terms of display, no doubt Realme XT has a better one.

Redmi Note 8 Pro is powered by a MediaTek G90T chipset. It is an octa-core chipset based on 12 nm architecture. Coupled with Mali G76 GPU, the smartphone comes with a Liquid cooling technology. It is running on MiUi 10 based on Android Pie.

Realme XT has Snapdragon 712 chipset which is an octa-core chipset based on 10nm architecture. The chipset is coupled with an Adreno 616 GPU for graphical performance. It has a Color OS 6.0 based on Android Pie.




In terms of performance, this time the new gaming chipset by MediTek has outrun the Snapdragon chipset. No doubt Redmi Note 8 Pro is going to give you a more powerful performance than Realme XT. Realme XT also gives powerful performance but the new G90T chipset is a total beast. In comparison, Redmi Note 8 Pro can run PUBG on HDR with Extreme FPS while Realme XT is limited to HD and High FPS. Also, in daily usage, Redmi Note 8 gives you the flagship-level experience.

Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with a 64 Megapixel G1 sensor of f/1.8 aperture. The second one is an 8 Megapixel wide-angle lens of f/2.2 aperture that gives a 120-degree field of view. The third one is a 2 Megapixel macro lens which helps to capture shots from 2cm. The fourth one is a depth sensor of 2 Megapixel.

Realme XT also comes with a 64 Megapixel Samsung GW1 sensor of aperture f/1.8. it is the first smartphone to feature 64 Megapixel quad-camera setup which makes it a unique entity. The second rear camera is a portrait lens for a bokeh effect. The third one is an 8 Megapixel wide-angle lens of f/2.25 aperture that delivers the 119-degree field of view. The fourth one is a macro lens that helps to click a shot of a 4cm distance.


The Redmi Note 8 Pro captures more natural pictures, on the other hand, the Realme XT has a photo oversaturated feel. In daylight, the Note 8 Pro holds more detail, while it seems that the Realme XT does loose quality.

In a wide-angle lens, both capture great shots, but detailing is more on Redmi Note 8 Pro. Also, in portrait shots, Redmi Note 8 Pro performs well than Realme XT despite both maintain the good edge detection.

Now coming to the macro shots than obviously Redmi Note 8 Pro captures more detail as it can shoot closer than Realme XT. Night shoots look good in Realme XT.

Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with a 20 Megapixel selfie sensor of aperture f/2.0 that packs a 0.8-micron pixel size. It can shoot video to 4k resolution at 30 fps only. While it can shoot slow-motion video @ 960 fps at 720p resolution. The front camera can shoot video 1080p video at 30 fps.

Realme XT has 16 Megapixel Sony sensors for a selfie. We get EIS for both front and rear cameras. It can shoot 4k video at 30fps while you can go to 60 fps for 1080p & 720p resolution. We can also shoot slow-motion videos up to 960 fps.


For selfie, Realme XT outlives the Redmi Note 8 Pro. It captures more detailing and renders great shots. In terms of video recording, both are limited to 30 fps on 4k resolution while. But Realme XT video shots are more stable than Redmi Note 8 Pro.

Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with a 4500 mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging that can charge your smartphone in less than 1.5 hours. Meanwhile, G90T is built on 12nm architecture so it is not efficient but a bigger 4500 mAh battery can give you the battery backup of 1 Day easily.

Realme XT comes with a 4000 mAh battery with the support of 20 Watt VOOC 3.0 charge. Snapdragon 712 is a very efficient chipset, so it can easily deliver you a battery backup of more than one day.


In terms of battery life, both will give you equal usage. But in terms of efficiency compared to Realme, XT is more efficient. But due to the larger battery, the Note 8 Pro is second to none.

Both packed amazing features. In terms of security, Realme XT has an in-display fingerprint scanner while Note 8 Pro has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. No doubt the physical fingerprint scanner is more fast and accurate. Both bundled all the major sensor.
