Realme has launched two new smartphones in India which are Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro. We have already published a review of Realme 5 on our website and it is the highest-rated smartphone by Techistaan. In this article, we are going to give you a detailed review of the Realme 5 Pro. Let’s check out can Realme 5 Pro break the record of Realme 5.

Display & Design

The Realme 5 Pro comes with a 6.3 inches IPS LCD display of Full HD+ resolution. The smartphone has a dewdrop display which provides 90.6% screen to body ratio. The viewing experience of the smartphone is good and with 450 nits of brightness, we get a good experience in outdoor condition. In terms of design, the new crystal design has been showcased which gives you a holographic shade. Personally, I like the design of the smartphone and it has a beautiful design in its price range.

Performance

Realme 5 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 AIE chipset. It is an octa-core processor built on 10nm technology with clock speed up to 2.3 GHz. The SD 712 AIE is faster than the SD 710 in the previous Realme X. This is the best performing chipset in this price range. In terms of daily usage, the smartphone will give you a lag-free experience and you are going to get a great experience while playing games like PUBG or Asphalt 9. The smartphone has Color OS 6 based on Android Pie.

Camera

The smartphone has a quad rear camera setup. It has a 48 Megapixel Sony IMX 586 primary rear sensor of aperture f / 1.8. It has an 8 Megapixel secondary ultra-wide-angle lens of aperture f / 2.2 that provides a 119-degree field of view. The third rear camera is a 2 Megapixel depth sensor that offers 6 different portrait styles. The last one is a 2 Megapixel macro lens which is one of the unique camera features of Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro.

The smartphone comes with a super nightscape mode, chroma boost, and 10X digital zoom. It can shoot 4k video at 30 frames per second while slow-motion video @ 960 fps at 720p resolution. It has a 16 Megapixel selfie camera of aperture f/2.0 and Sony IMX 471 sensor. The camera performance of the smartphone is really outstanding and with flagship sensors, at both front and back it can be optimized more in the future.

Battery and Other Features

Realme 5 Pro comes with a 4035 mAh battery with support of VOOC 3.0 fast charging with a type-C port. Battery backup of the device is really good thanks to the efficient SD 712. It has all the major sensor including a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. We get a dedicated slot for micro SD card.

Verdict

Realme has been a tough competitor to Xiaomi and is currently giving us smartphones that are the first choice in the 15k range. Realme 5 Pro is a complete package smartphone. We do not have any other smartphone that can compete with it. At some point, if you don’t like Color OS and want stock android then you can take a look on Mi A3 but apart from that, this is my first choice.
