Display & Design
Realme 5 comes with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with HD resolution. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3+. According to its design, it has a unibody 3D gradient design made of polycarbonate. The smartphone looks large and is not easy to use with one hand.
Now, the Mi A3 has a 6.1-inch AMOLED display of HD + resolution. It comes with a 3D gradient design, but it is a glass back. For safety, Xiaomi has used Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both the front and back. It fits in your hand and is comfortable.
Conclusion: In this category, Mi A3 is a clear winner. Both the smartphones have HD resolution but Mi A3 comes with an AMOLED display which clearly makes the display more vibrant and crispy. In terms of design, Mi A3 has the advantage of glass back also both front and back is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 which is more durable.

Both the smartphones come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor which is an octa-core chipset based on 11nm technology. So, both are going to give you blistering experience in terms of performance. But while playing PUBG, we have seen that the maximum graphic setting is limited to medium. I think maybe in the future they will update it. Now in the software department, the Mi A3 is on the lead with a stock Android experience.

The secondary one is 8 Megapixel wide-angle lens of aperture f/2.2 which offers the 118-degree field of view. The third one is a 2 Megapixel depth sensor that delivers 6 different portrait styles.
Mi A3 packs the triple rear camera setup. The primary rear camera has 48 Megapixel IMX 586 sensors of aperture f/1.7. The secondary on is an 8 Megapixel wide-angle lens of an aperture of f/2.2. The last one is a 2 Megapixel depth sensor used to enhance the bokeh effect.
Conclusion: Both smartphones compete from neck to neck in the rear camera department. Realme 5 comes with an additional fourth microlens which is beneficial for this. Realme 5 captures some artificial pictures while Mi A3 maintains the natural detailing in shots. In the rear camera both perform well so it is difficult to choose the winner.
Realme 5 comes has 13 Megapixels selfie camera of aperture f/2.0. The front camera can shoot video at 1080p. The front camera supports Electronic Image Stabilization.
Mi A3 comes with a 32 Megapixels selfie camera of aperture f/2.0 with support of Electronic image stabilization.

Realme 5 comes with a massive 5000 mAh battery. The charging time is more in due to a massive battery and we get to see the basic charger in a box. The smartphone provides a battery of backup of 1.5 days.
Mi A3 comes with the 4030 mAh battery. The battery performance is efficient due to reasons like AMOLED display and stock android. The smartphone provides us a battery backup of more than one day easily.
Conclusion: Realme 5 is the clear winner of this category. This does not mean that the Mi A3 has not performed well, but the larger 5000 mAh battery will give you better battery life.

Mi A3 has an In-Display fingerprint scanner which is slow but accurate while Realme 5 comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner is which is fast and accurate. In the future, the in-display fingerprint scanner can be improved but it is the latest feature present in Mi A3. Also, Mi A3 is splash-proof while we do not see anything in Realme 5. Mi A3 has type-C port whereas Realme 5 has a micro-USB port.
