On the 3rd anniversary of Jio services in India, 5 September, Jio fiber will roll out on a commercial basis across the country. The company confirmed that the speed of the tariff packages would range from 100 MBPS to 1 GBPS depending on the tariff plans which will start at rupees 700 per month.

Apart from Jio fiber service, the Jio home phone service will also be bundled. The international calling tariffs rates will be as low as one-tenth of the prevailing ones. On the other hand, the local and STD voice calls will be absolutely free, from this wireline phone. The company also mentioned that at Rs. 500 per month, there would be an unlimited calling plan for the US and Canada.
The Jio fiber welcome offer will offer a free HD/4k TV and a 4K STB for free to anyone who subscribes to the Jio forever annual plans. According to the Jio fiber broadband services, the subscription would be bundled to popular Over the Top streaming services.
These much-awaited Reliance Jio home broadband services have been confirmed at the 42nd Annual General Meeting of Reliance Industries Limited. When the service rolls out, the company further confirms that its intention is to reach 20 million.
Almost 15 Million registrations, across 1,600 towns in India of interest for the home broadband services have been received by the company. Over the past few months, the extended trial Period of the services has been active in almost 5 lakh homes.
Television, being the third pillar of the Jio fiber service, the company confirms that the users will be able to subscribe to a high definition television with 4K set-top box.
They would be able to receive signals from the local cable operators and the channels would be given according to the user’s wish.
New OTT Services
Reliance would roll out the First Day First Show offering for Jio fiber subscribers in the middle of the next year.
The subscribers would be able to watch and enjoy the new movie releases on the same day as their release in cinema halls in movie theatres in India. The features of this service will be confirmed closer to the date of the launch.
